In continuation of his enduring interventions towards the standardization of the health sector, the Senator representing Kwara central and Chairman Senate Committee on Health, Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe has yet again facilitated more medical equipment and consumable items worth millions of Naira to Idi-Isin Comprehensive Health Center, Okolowo, Ilorin to elevate the quality of health care delivery available to the people of Kwara Central at the facility. The facility which has been converted into an outstation of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH), representing the only outpost of the health institution in Kwara central, was facilitated by the lawmaker in the bid to expand access to quality health care services. Delivering the items yesterday to the health centre, Sen. Oloriegbe, represented by his aide, Mallam Hadi Asimiyu, reiterated that the equipment and consumable items were facilitated to improve the services available to the constituents who are patronising the facility whilst enjoining the management of the clinic to make judicious use of the items. "It is our enduring determination to elevate the health sector in a manner that affords everyone irrespective of socio-economic status access to quality health services. This gesture is in complement of the various interventions we have been able to facilitate to improve the general wellness of the constituents." "The choice of the location to host this facility bears testimony to our resolve to bring quality and affordable healthcare services closer to the people and this is aside from the comprehensive remodelling and equipment we have facilitated to dozens of Primary Health Centers (PHCs) for efficient and effective service delivery and reduction of the burden on general hospitals." "We were glad to hear of the quality services you have since inception been offering to people to justify the essence of the facility. We are inspired and motivated to further strengthen you with more equipment and consumable items to elevate the standard of healthcare delivery to your clients who are my constituents." "We commend your dedication to duties and urge you to make judicious use of these items to achieve the purpose for which they were facilitated." Reacting to the gesture, the officer in charge of the facility, Dr Tijani Abdulrasheed appreciated the lawmaker on behalf of the staff and the management for what he described as a remarkable intervention, promising to make effective use of the equipment to strengthen healthcare services and improve health outcomes. The head of the Idi Isin Community, Alhaji Kolawole Akande Magaji, and Chairman of the Idi Isin Community Association, Mallam Akaje in their separate remarks expressed appreciations on behalf of the residents of the community to the lawmaker for his foresightedness in siting the clinic in their community which they described as a blessing as a result of the standard services available to the community members and beyond, praying to Allah to continue to elevate Oloriegbe in service to humanity.
