Odo Gògó : A sacred river in Offa , where a snake comes down to stop fighting residents fetching water at her abode . History has it that this river used to be a human, she was from a polygamous family, eldest of the wifes in the home. She had no child.
One day, she had a misunderstanding with the husband, and was humiliated by her fellow wives for not having a child. She then got angry and turned into a river. One sacred thing about this river is that it never gets disturbed or dirty, and never dries since the formation .
The water is always super clean and clear. Also , the river hates and dislikes noise and fighting in the area, whenever such arises, we were told a large snake comes out, to disperse and get people to maintain calmness and order in the surrounding.
