The Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Kwara State Governor on Sustainable Development Goals is pleased to announce the successful inauguration of the Kwara State Human Capital Development (HCD) Council Members. The ceremony, held on 20th January 2025, was a milestone event in advancing the state’s agenda for sustainable growth and development.
The event was graced by the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Mr. Kayode Alabi, who delivered an inspiring keynote address, reiterated the government’s commitment to improving the education, health, and workforce sectors in the state. Alongside the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, the Commissioner for Health, the Commissioner for Business and Innovation, and the Chairman of the House Committee on Education and Housing
In her remarks, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sustainable Development Goals highlighted the critical need for Human Capital Development (HCD) as a catalyst for progress. She emphasized that HCD is pivotal in improving the quality of education, strengthening the healthcare system, and fostering a skilled workforce to meet the demands of the modern economy.
“The establishment of the HCD Council is a significant step in ensuring that no one is left behind as Kwara State charts a path toward sustainable development,” she stated. “By prioritizing education, health, and workforce development, we are laying a strong foundation for the future of our state and empowering our citizens to achieve their full potential.”
The inauguration ceremony provided a platform for stakeholders to discuss strategies for collaboration and synergy in implementing policies that will drive human capital development in Kwara State.
